1961 Mr F Lavery officially opened the Morgan Memorial Gates to the tennis court.  Mr Morgan was a former headmaster.

1965 477 Pupils.
A contract was let to Collier Constructions Pty Ltd for the provision of two new classrooms, staff, lobby, Headmaster's office and store to be completed by the 12th November at a cost of £19,652.0.0. 
The original wood and iron structure became obsolete with the completion of these extensions and has been vested with the P&C Association.
1966 The unveiling of the plaque in memory of the late Hon EM Davies MLC, and the official opening of the extensions by the Minister of Education (Hon EHM Lewis) took place on Tuesday, 27th September.
1967 496 pupils.  Class libraries which were encouraged and developed by Mr J Walton were brought together as a Central library by Mr RG Kemp and named the John Walton library.
Clerical assistance for Class 1 schools was instituted. 
Installation of a public address system throughout school and erection of a pergola by the Student Council. 
The first meeting of the Headmasters Association was held at WGV. New teaching methods introduced such as Team Teaching and cross setting in arithmetic and reading.
1968 490 pupils. First discussion of the Eastern Fremantle By Pass at the P&C meeting.  Sand pit built. 
Vandals broke into the school and destroyed school records, in particular prior to 1953.
1969 In February there were 526 pupils, the Headmaster and 13 other full time teaching staff at the school.
