| 1951 | 439 Pupils. The old school was partitioned and used to house two classes. Free milk scheme started again. Work on playground at a stand still. Three coats of "coalas', many bruised knees from the sharp chip granite surface. |
| 1952 | Increased numbers (530) necessitated the erection of a two
classroom prefabricated building. Asphalting and reticulating of the grounds was completed in August at a cost of £4,350. |
| 1953 | 534 pupils. 57 pupils transferred to Hilton Park. |
| 1954 | 512 Pupils. Royal review at Fremantle, about 3,000 children assembled at Fremantle Oval to give the Queen and the Duke a joyous send off. Two more Dutch children enrolled, they have only been in the country 2.5 months and have attended the Holden Camp school, Northam. Class 5 transferred to Hilton Park. Purchase £56 worth of books for the library through the P&C 106 children from Classes 4-6 attend matinee of the Mikado. Commenced erection of two prefabricated classrooms. |
| 1955 | A second two classroom prefabricated building was completed
in May. Over the next decade school enrolments fluctuated with the opening
of nearby schools. P&C purchased a fine new Gestetner (old type of photocopier) for the school, £98. Request also made for the telephone at school. Telephone installed 29 July, "bother over call sign, same as Fremantle Transport Board". First annual Faction Sports Day 21 October, attended by Mr E Davies MLC, Mr F Lavery MLC & Supt WH Anderson. |
| 1956 | 453 Pupils. Polio epidemic in state, all interschool fixtures and carnivals cancelled. Brentwood School moved into White Gum Valley for 5 months, whilst their new buildings were finished. |
| 1957 | First polio vaccinations given to children. |
| 1958 | Bulldozing of capstone on Top Green begun in preparation for
leveling and plating. Miss R Mitchell appointed in September. |
| 1959 | July 25th, "During the past fortnight an epidemic of bad conduct seems to have broken out in the school." School Journal. |
