White Gum Valley Primary School is located in the area of Fremantle. With its country look, historic buildings and community atmosphere the school promotes itself as environmentally and historically aware with an interest in the Arts. We are proud of our environmentally friendly Centenary garden, featuring native plants in a central courtyard. Our grounds have a variety of trees including mature tuarts and pine trees.

Our district was once an important meeting place for Aboriginals. This is reflected in the name given to an adjoining bush area, Booyeembara Park. In more recent times the area has been inhabited by immigrants from post world war countries like Italy as well as Central Europe. The district is now experiencing popularity with people due to its close location to the Port City.

The school aims to provide a personal, friendly environment to encourage students to perform to their potential and become confident and happy citizens. Our motto: Take Pride encourages students to do their best and take pride in their results across all learning areas. Students across all year levels are given the opportunity to work with older/younger students as part of our community ethos.

Our staff are a professional, capable and caring team, dedicated to the welfare of students. We have many nationalities amongst the student body and consider ourselves and inclusive school with the enrolment of several students with special needs. Our Outcomes based education philosophy of meeting the individual education needs of children runs across all the learning areas.

The school offers several programs including: Italian, Music, Art and assisting students with Literacy and Numeracy needs. From time to time other programs are included if staffing is available.

We participate in Interschool Sport, various competitions both locally and interstate as well as take senior students on Environmental/Sustainability Camps.

We currently lease a bank of computers in the Library as well as have computers in each classroom. Staff also have access to an interactive whiteboard which is integrated into the learning program.
